Mārkaṇḍeya said: “He whose mind has been struck down by Time grows hostile even toward all the gods. As for him, the signs of his ruin have been shown to me in a dream—indeed, they unmistakably foretell his destruction.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
When a person’s discernment is overwhelmed by Kāla (Time/fate) and inner delusion, envy and rivalry can extend even toward the divine order; such adharma becomes a clear omen of impending ruin.
Mārkaṇḍeya warns that a certain person—mentally clouded by the force of Time—has become antagonistic even to the gods, and that Mārkaṇḍeya has seen dream-omens indicating that this person’s destruction is near.
