यं देवं विदुषो गान्ति तस्य कर्माणि सैन्धव । यमाहुरजितं कृष्णं शड्खचक्रगदाधरम्‌,“'सिन्धुराज! विद्वान्‌ पुरुष उन्हीं भगवानकी महिमा गाते और उन्हींके पावन चरित्रोंका वर्णन करते हैं। उन्‍्हींको अपराजित, शंखचक्रगदाधारी पीतपट्टाम्बर-विभूषित श्रीवत्सधारी भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण कहा गया है। अस्त्रविद्याके दिद्वानोंमें श्रेष्ठ अर्जुन उन्हीं भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णके द्वारा सुरक्षित हैं

yaṁ devaṁ viduṣo gānti tasya karmāṇi saindhava | yam āhur ajitaṁ kṛṣṇaṁ śaṅkhacakragadādharam ||

Bhīmasena said: “O Saindhava, the wise sing of that very God and recount His sacred deeds—the one whom people proclaim as the unconquered Kṛṣṇa, bearer of conch, discus, and mace.”
