मარკण्डेयागमनम् तथा सत्यव्रत-उपदेशः

इदं तु वचन पार्थ शृणुष्व गदतो मम । भ्रातृभि: सह कौन्तेय यत् त्वां वक्ष्यामि कौरव,“कुन्तीनन्दन! कुरुश्रेष्ठ भाइयोंसहित तुमसे मैं जो एक बात कह रहा हूँ, इसे ध्यान देकर सुनो
idaṃ tu vacanaṃ pārtha śṛṇuṣva gadato mama | bhrātṛbhiḥ saha kaunteya yat tvāṃ vakṣyāmi kaurava ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “O Pārtha, listen attentively to this statement of mine as I speak. O son of Kuntī, together with your brothers, hear what I am about to tell you, O scion of the Kurus.”
