Thus ends the 250th chapter of the Vana Parva of the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Ghoṣa-yātrā section, in the context of Duryodhana’s resolve to fast unto death, and concerning the words spoken by Karṇa. The narrator marks the close of this episode, highlighting how pride and wounded honor can drive a ruler toward self-destructive choices, and how counsel—whether wise or partisan—shapes the ethical direction of action.
