चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas

एतज्जानाम्यहं कर्तु भर्त॒संवननं महत्‌ | असत्स्त्रीणां समाचार नाहं कुर्या न कामये,“पतिको वशमें करनेका यही सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण उपाय मैं जानती हूँ। दुराचारिणी स्त्रियाँ जिन उपायोंका अवलम्बन करती हैं, उन्हें न तो मैं करती हूँ और न चाहती ही हूँ”

etaj jānāmy ahaṃ kartuṃ bhartṛ-saṃvananaṃ mahat | asat-strīṇāṃ samācāraṃ nāhaṃ kuryā na kāmaye ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “This, indeed, I know to be the great means of winning over one’s husband. But the practices resorted to by immoral women—I neither adopt them nor do I desire them.”
