चित्रसेन-समागमः / The Engagement with Citrasena and the Gandharvas

अनुप्रश्न: संशयो वा नैतत्‌ त्वय्युपपद्यते | तथा हापेता बुद्धया त्वं कृष्णस्य महिषी प्रिया,“इस प्रकारका प्रश्न अथवा स्वामीके स्नेहमें संदेह करना तुम्हारे-जैसी साध्वी स्त्रीके लिये कदापि उचित नहीं है; चूँकि तुम बुद्धिमती होनेके साथ ही श्यामसुन्दरकी प्रियतमा पटरानी हो

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | anupraśnaḥ saṃśayo vā naitat tvayy upapadyate | tathā hāpetā buddhyā tvaṃ kṛṣṇasya mahiṣī priyā ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “Such questioning—or any doubt that suspects a husband’s affection—does not befit you. You are not lacking in discernment; indeed, you are Kṛṣṇa’s beloved queen. Therefore it is not right for a virtuous woman like you to entertain such suspicion.”
