चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः
Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement
श्रिया जुष्ट: पृथुयशा: स कुमारवरस्तदा । निषण्णो दृश्यते भूतै: पौर्णमास्यां यथा शशी,मूर्तिमती शोभासे सेवित हो वहाँ बैठे हुए महा-यशस्वी सुन्दरकुमारको उस समय सब प्राणी पूर्णमासीके चन्द्रमाकी भाँति देखते थे
śriyā juṣṭaḥ pṛthuyaśāḥ sa kumāravaras tadā | niṣaṇṇo dṛśyate bhūtaiḥ paurṇamāsyāṃ yathā śaśī ||
Markandeya said: Endowed with auspicious fortune and of far-spreading fame, that excellent prince was then seen seated there by all beings—shining like the full-moon on the night of the full moon. The image underscores how true prosperity and renown, when joined to noble conduct, make a person a visible refuge and delight to the world.
