Adhyāya 22: Śālva’s Weapon-Shower, Dāruka’s Wounding, and the Māyā-Report of Vasudeva’s Father
परिष्वक्तश्नार्जुनेन यमा भ्यां चाभिवादित: । सम्मानितश्च धौम्येन द्रौपद्या चार्चितो5श्रुभि:,अर्जुनने उनको हृदयसे लगाया और नकुल-सहदेवने उनके चरणोंमें प्रणाम किया। पुरोहित धौम्यजीने उनका सम्मान किया तथा द्रौपदीने अपने आँसुओंसे उनकी अर्चना की
parisvaktas tu ārjunena yamābhyāṃ cābhivāditaḥ | sammānitaś ca dhaumyena draupadyā cārcito 'śrubhiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: He was embraced by Arjuna; and the twins (Nakula and Sahadeva), the sons of Yamā, bowed to him in reverence. The family priest Dhaumya honored him with due respect, and Draupadī, her heart overflowing, worshipfully received him with tears—an ethical tableau of kinship, humility, and faithful regard shown to one who has returned after hardship.
