संधौ संधौ संनिविष्ट: सर्वेष्वपि तथानिल: । शरीरेषु मनुष्याणां व्यान इत्युपदिश्यते,वही जब मनुष्य-शरीरके प्रत्येक संधिस्थलमें व्याप्त होकर रहता है, तब उसे व्यान कहते हैं

Transliteration

sandhau sandhau sanniviṣṭaḥ sarveṣv api tathānilaḥ | śarīreṣu manuṣyāṇāṃ vyāna ity upadiśyate ||

Translation

The hunter said: “That vital wind which, pervading the human body, is stationed at every joint and spreads through all the limbs—this is what the sages teach to be Vyāna.”
