न हिंस्यात् सर्वभूतानि मैत्रायणगतकश्चरेत् । नेदं जीवितमासाद्य वैरं कुर्वीत केनचित्,किसी प्राणीकी हिंसा न करे। सबसमें मित्रभाव रखते हुए विचरे। इस दुर्लभ मनुष्य- जीवनको पाकर किसीके साथ वैर न करे
Transliteration
na hiṁsyāt sarvabhūtāni maitrāyaṇagataś caret | nedaṁ jīvitam āsādya vairaṁ kurvīta kenacit ||
Translation
The hunter said: “One should not injure any living being. Moving through the world with a mind grounded in friendliness, having obtained this rare human life, one should not create enmity with anyone.”
