मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction
ऋषिभि श्ष॒ सगन्धर्वैरुत्तड़केन च धीमता । सम्भाष्य चैनं विविधैराशीवदिस्ततो नूप,राजन्! तदनन्तर ऋषियों, गन्धर्वों और बुद्धिमान् महर्षि उत्तंकने भी नाना प्रकारके आशीर्वाद देते हुए राजासे वार्तालाप किया
ṛṣibhiḥ sa-gandharvair uttaṅkena ca dhīmatā | sambhāṣya cainaṃ vividhair āśīrvādais tato nṛpa rājan ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: After conversing with him, the sages—together with the Gandharvas—and the wise Ṛṣi Uttaṅka then bestowed upon the king many kinds of blessings. The scene underscores the ethical ideal that righteous rulers are strengthened not merely by power, but by the counsel and benedictions of the spiritually accomplished.
