Guṇa-vibhāga and Prāṇa–Agni–Yoga Upadeśa (गुणविभाग तथा प्राण-अग्नि-योगोपदेश)
बहुयोजनविस्तीर्णो बहुयोजनमायत: । तत्र रौद्रो दानवेन्द्रो महावीर्यपराक्रम:,उसकी लंबाई-चौड़ाई कई योजनकी है। वहाँ महान् बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न एक भयंकर दानवराज रहता है, जो मधु और कैटभका पुत्र है। वह क्रूर स्वभाववाला राक्षस धुन्धु नामसे प्रसिद्ध है। राजन! वह अमित पराक्रमी दानव धरतीके भीतर छिपकर रहा करता है
bahuyojanavistīrṇo bahuyojanamāyataḥ | tatra raudro dānavendro mahāvīryaparākramaḥ ||
Uttaṅka said: “It is spread across many yojanas and extends for many yojanas. There dwells a fierce lord of the Dānavas, endowed with immense strength and valor.” In context, Uttaṅka is warning the king about a vast, perilous presence—an embodiment of destructive power that threatens the realm and tests a ruler’s duty to protect beings from harm.
उत्तड़क उवाच
A ruler’s dharma includes vigilance and protection: recognizing looming threats and acting with courage and responsibility to safeguard the world from destructive forces.
Uttaṅka describes an immense region and warns that a terrifying, powerful Dānava-lord dwells there, setting up the account of a dangerous being whose presence demands royal attention and action.
