वनमिदमुदारकं साध्वत्र रम्पतामिति,“महाराज! यह वन बहुत सुन्दर है, आप इसमें भलीभाँति विहार करें”
vanam idam udārakaṃ sādhu atra ram patām iti |
Vaiśampāyana said: “O great king, this forest is truly splendid. Stay here and take your recreation in it as is fitting.” The line sets a calm, hospitable tone, presenting the forest as a rightful place of rest and ordered enjoyment rather than indulgence.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even leisure is framed by propriety: the forest is praised as a suitable setting for rest and recreation, implying enjoyment that remains within the bounds of dharma and self-control.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports an address to a king, commending the beauty of the forest and inviting him to remain there and enjoy it—signaling a transition into a forest setting and its events.
