Mārkaṇḍeya said: “The hermitages will be free from heretical and deceitful practices, and the people will remain steadfastly devoted to truth. Seeds sown in the fields will indeed sprout and flourish well.”

When religious life is purified of hypocrisy and society becomes devoted to truth (satya), the natural and social worlds align: righteousness supports prosperity, symbolized by seeds that reliably sprout.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes an ideal condition of society: hermitages are cleansed of fraudulent sectarianism, the populace becomes truth-oriented, and agriculture becomes fruitful—an image of dharmic restoration and well-being.
