३२--३५ ।। तदत्रिन्यायतः सर्व प्रतिगृह्मा भिसत्कृत: । प्रत्युज्जगाम तेजस्वी गृहानेव माहतपा:,तब महान् तपस्वी और तेजस्वी अत्रि मुनि राजासे समादृत हो न्यायपूर्वक मिले हुए उस सम्पूर्ण धनको लेकर अपने घरको चले गये
tad atrinyāyataḥ sarvaṃ pratigṛhya bhisatkṛtaḥ | pratyujjagāma tejasvī gṛhān eva mahātapāḥ ||
Then the great ascetic Atri—honoured with due respect—accepted all of that wealth in accordance with proper custom and justice, and the radiant sage departed for his own dwelling. The passage underscores that even in receiving gifts, one should act by established right conduct, without greed or impropriety.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Even the acceptance of wealth should be governed by nyāya—right procedure and ethical propriety—so that receiving does not become greed; honouring the worthy and giving/receiving rightly sustains dharma.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that the sage Atri, after being duly honoured, accepts the entire gift offered according to proper custom and then returns to his own home.
