Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)

एषा तावदबुद्धीनां गतिरुक्ता युधिष्ठिर । अतः: परं ज्ञानवतां निबोध गतिमुत्तमाम्‌,युधिष्ठिर! यह तत्त्वज्ञानशून्य मूढ़ मनुष्योंकी स्वर्ग-नरकरूप गति बतायी गयी है। अब इसके बाद विवेकी पुरुषोंको प्राप्त होनेवाली उत्तम गतिका वर्णन सुनो

eṣā tāvad abuddhīnāṁ gatir uktā yudhiṣṭhira | ataḥ paraṁ jñānavatāṁ nibodha gatim uttamām ||

Mārkaṇḍeya said: “O Yudhiṣṭhira, this much has been described—the destiny of those who lack true understanding. Now, hear from me the higher and nobler course that belongs to the wise, those endowed with knowledge.”
