मुष्टिभिश्व महाघोरैरन्योन्यमभिजचध्नतु: । तत: कटकटाशब्दो बभूव सुमहात्मनो:,अपने अत्यन्त भयानक मुक्कोंद्वारा वे परस्पर चोट करने लगे। तब उन दोनों महाकाय वीरोंमें जोर-जोरसे कटकटानेकी आवाज होने लगी
muṣṭibhiś ca mahāghorair anyonyam abhijaghnatuḥ | tataḥ kaṭakaṭāśabdo babhūva sumahātmanoḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: With exceedingly dreadful fists they struck one another again and again. Then, from those two mighty-souled, huge-bodied heroes, there arose a loud clacking sound—like the grinding of hard blows—signaling the ferocity and unrelenting intensity of their combat.
