श्रुत्वा तु दिव्यामाकाशाद् वाचं सर्वे विसिस्मियु: । ऋषीणां ब्राह्मणानां च पार्थिवानां विशेषत:,वह दिव्य आकाशवाणी सुनकर सबको बड़ा विस्मय हुआ। ऋषियों, ब्राह्मणों और विशेषत: राजर्षियोंको अधिक आश्चर्य हुआ
śrutvā tu divyām ākāśād vācaṁ sarve visismiyuḥ | ṛṣīṇāṁ brāhmaṇānāṁ ca pārthivānāṁ viśeṣataḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing that celestial voice resounding from the sky, everyone was struck with wonder. The sages and the brāhmaṇas—and most of all the kings present—were filled with an even greater astonishment, sensing a divine intervention that demanded reverent attention and moral seriousness.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A divine utterance (ākāśavāṇī) commands immediate reverence: even the most authoritative human groups—sages, ritual experts, and rulers—are shown as humbled before higher moral and cosmic order, reminding kings in particular that power must remain accountable to dharma.
A celestial voice is heard from the sky. The entire assembly reacts with amazement, with sages, brāhmaṇas, and especially the kings experiencing heightened astonishment, indicating that an extraordinary, divinely sanctioned message has entered the scene.
