Hanūmān’s Embrace, Counsel, and Promise to Amplify Bhīma’s Battle-Roar

Gandhamādana Continuation

Vaiśampāyana said: “The earth, the rivers, the mountains and rocky peaks, the Siddhas, the gods, and the great seers—all of them move in step with Time, as do all conditions from age to age. For each yuga, bodies, strength, and influence wax and wane accordingly. Therefore, O best of the Kurus, do not insist on seeing that former form; I too follow the course of the yuga, for to overstep Time is exceedingly difficult for anyone.”

Educational Q&A

Even the greatest beings and the very features of the world are subject to Kāla (Time). Across the yugas, capacities and conditions change; therefore one should accept the limits set by cosmic order rather than demand what belongs to another age.

Vaiśampāyana narrates a reflection that all entities—earth, rivers, mountains, Siddhas, gods, and seers—follow Time. The speaker discourages a Kuru hero from insisting on witnessing a former, yuga-specific form or glory, emphasizing that everyone must conform to the changing conditions of the ages.
