Bhīma–Hanūmān Dialogue on Yugas (युगवर्णनम्)
हनूमानुवाच नास्ति शक्तिमममोत्थातुं व्याधिना क्लेशितो हाहम् । यद्यवश्यं प्रयातव्यं लड्घयित्वा प्रयाहि माम्,हनुमानजी बोले--भाई! मैं रोगसे कष्ट पा रहा हूँ। मुझमें उठनेकी शक्ति नहीं है। यदि तुम्हें जाना अवश्य है तो मुझे लाँधघधकर चले जाओ
hanūmān uvāca nāsti śaktir mama utthātuṁ vyādhinā kleśito hy aham | yady avaśyaṁ prayātavyaṁ laṅghayitvā prayāhi mām ||
Hanuman said, “I have no strength to rise; I am afflicted and distressed by illness. If you must go onward without fail, then step over me and proceed.” In the episode, the seemingly helpless obstacle tests the traveler’s restraint and reverence: true strength is shown not by forcing one’s way, but by honoring elders and acting with humility even when the goal feels urgent.
