Bhīmasena–Hanūmān Saṃvāda: The Tail Test and the Divine Path

तं तु नाद॑ ततः श्रुत्वा मुक्त वारणपुड़वै: । भ्रातरं भीमसेनं तु विज्ञाय हनुमान्‌ कपि:,बड़े-बड़े गजराजोंका वह चीत्कार सुनकर कपिप्रवर हनुमानजी, जो उस समय कदलीवनमें ही रहते थे, यह समझ गये कि मेरे भाई भीमसेन इधर आये हैं

taṃ tu nādaṃ tataḥ śrutvā mukta-vāraṇa-puṅgavaiḥ | bhrātaraṃ bhīmasenaṃ tu vijñāya hanumān kapiḥ |

Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing that roar—raised by mighty, unrestrained lordly elephants—Hanumān, the foremost of monkeys, understood that his brother Bhīmasena had come that way. The verse highlights keen recognition and fraternal bond, setting the stage for guidance and testing that will shape Bhīma’s conduct and strength.
