“Look, Bhīma—see this divine flower, exquisitely beautiful and unsurpassed. It is endowed with fragrance and perfect form, and it delights my mind. O scorcher of foes, I shall offer it to Dharmarāja; to fulfill my wish, carry it to the hermitage in the Kāmyaka forest.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights intention and duty: a beautiful object is not sought merely for personal pleasure but is directed toward respectful offering to Dharmarāja, while Bhīma is called upon to fulfill a loved one’s wish through loyal service—an ethic of devotion, restraint, and right action even during exile.
A divine, fragrant, exceptionally beautiful flower is shown to Bhīma. The speaker expresses delight in it and states the intention to present it to Dharmarāja, asking Bhīma to carry it to the hermitage in the Kāmyaka forest to fulfill the request.
