The Saugaṇdhika Lotus and Bhīma’s Approach to Hanūmān

Adorned with divine trees that perpetually bore flowers and fruits, the place appeared resplendent. There they beheld that Badarī tree as well—charming to the eye, with a rounded trunk—standing as a sign of the sacred abundance and serenity surrounding the Nara-Nārāyaṇa hermitage near Kailāsa.

The verse highlights the ethical-spiritual ideal of an āśrama space: nature becomes a marker of sanctity—trees that continually bear flowers and fruits symbolize a life ordered by tapas and dharma, where the environment reflects inner purity and divine presence.

The speakers’ party arrives near a sacred hermitage region and beholds a landscape adorned with divine, ever-fruitful trees; among them they specifically notice the beautiful Badarī tree with a rounded trunk, emphasizing the holiness and abundance of the place.
