नदीजालसमाकीर्णान् नानापक्षियुतान् बहून् । नानाविधम्गैर्जुष्टान् वानरैश्वोपशोभितान्,वहाँ सब ओर बहुत-सी नदियाँ बह रही थीं। अनेक प्रकारके असंख्य पक्षी विचर रहे थे। वह स्थान नाना प्रकारके मृगोंसे सेवित और वानरोंसे सुशोभित था
nadījālasamākīrṇān nānāpakṣiyutān bahūn | nānāvidhamṛgair juṣṭān vānaraiś copaśobhitān ||

घटोत्कच उवाच
The verse highlights the richness and harmony of the forest world—an environment where many forms of life coexist. In the Vana Parva context, such descriptions underscore how exile places the heroes amid nature’s order, inviting attentiveness, restraint, and respect for living beings.
Ghaṭotkaca is describing a particular forest region: it is threaded with many rivers and teeming with birds, wild animals, and monkeys. The line functions as vivid scene-setting, conveying the character of the landscape the party is encountering.
