Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Vana Parva—specifically in the section on pilgrimage—this concludes the one hundred and forty-first chapter, which, in the course of the account of the pilgrimage (as narrated by Lomaharṣaṇa), deals with the entry into Gandhamādana. The line functions as a formal colophon, marking the close of the chapter and framing the narrative as part of a sacred itinerary and its moral-religious setting.

As a colophon, the line’s primary function is structural rather than doctrinal: it frames the pilgrimage narrative as part of a dharmic practice (tīrthayātrā), implicitly emphasizing the religious and ethical value of sacred travel, purification, and reverence for holy places.
This is the closing notice of the chapter: it states that the 141st chapter—set within Vana Parva’s pilgrimage section and concerning entry into Gandhamādana—has ended, in the context of Lomaharṣaṇa’s account of the pilgrimage.
