Lomaśa said: “O King, having spoken thus to Yavakrīta, the gods—led by Agni—restored all of them to life, and then departed again for Triviṣṭapa (heaven).” The episode underscores divine oversight: when wrongdoing and suffering reach a crisis, higher powers may intervene to re-establish order, yet the gods’ departure also implies that mortals must thereafter live with the ethical consequences of their choices.
