पुत्रशोकमनुप्राप्त एष रैभ्यस्य कर्मणा । त्यक्ष्यामि त्वामृते पुत्र प्राणानिष्टतमान्‌ भुवि,बेटा! आज रैभ्यके इस कठोर कर्मसे मुझे पुत्रशोक प्राप्त हुआ है। तुम्हारे बिना मैं इस पृथ्वीपर अपने परम प्रिय प्राणोंका भी परित्याग कर दूँगा

putraśokam anuprāpta eṣa raibhyasya karmaṇā | tyakṣyāmi tvām ṛte putra prāṇān iṣṭatamān bhuvi ||

Bharadvāja said: “Because of Raibhya’s deed, this grief for my son has come upon me. O son, without you I will abandon even my very life-breath—dearest to me in this world.”
