Educational Q&A

The verse teaches the dharmic idea of purification and moral renewal through sincere engagement with a sacred tīrtha: remembrance of a great sage’s attainment sanctifies the place, and bathing there is presented as a means of release from sin (pāpa), encouraging repentance and ethical reorientation.

A speaker (Logaśa) praises a specific sacred spot on the Gaṅgā by recalling that Sanatkumāra once attained siddhi there, and then instructs the addressed royal descendant of Ajamīḍha that bathing in that river at this place will free him from all sins.
