तामबुध्यदमेयात्मा बलवान् सत्यविक्रम: । पर्यपृच्छत तां भीम: किमिहेच्छस्यनिन्दिते,उसका स्पर्श पाकर बलवान सत्यपराक्रमी तथा अमेयात्मा भीमसेन जाग उठे। जागनेपर उन्होंने पूछा--“सुन्दरी! तुम यहाँ क्या चाहती हो?”
tām abudhyad ameyātmā balavān satyavikramaḥ | paryapṛcchata tāṃ bhīmaḥ kim ihecchasy anindite ||
Touched by her, Bhīmasena—mighty, of immeasurable spirit, and whose valor was true to his word—awoke. On regaining awareness he questioned her: “Blameless lady, what do you seek here?”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in sudden or intimate circumstances, a dharmic response begins with wakeful awareness and respectful inquiry—addressing the other as 'blameless' and asking their purpose rather than reacting impulsively.
A woman touches Bhīma, causing him to awaken; once awake, he questions her directly about her intention in being there, setting up the ensuing encounter and its moral implications.
