Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical collapse of a royal court when it permits the public humiliation of a vulnerable woman. It implicitly condemns adharma—especially the failure to protect dignity and bodily integrity—and frames such cruelty as a sign of societal and political corruption.

A woman describes being forcibly dragged into the Kuru court while menstruating, trembling, and clothed only in a single garment. The scene emphasizes her vulnerability and the violence of the act, setting a moral indictment of those who allowed or enabled it.
