Thus ends the one hundred and eighteenth chapter of the Mahābhārata’s Vana Parva, within the Tīrthayātrā Parva, in the context of Lomasha’s pilgrimage narrative—describing the meeting of the Yādavas and the Pāṇḍavas in the sacred region of Prabhāsa. The closing formula signals a completed unit of narration, framing pilgrimage as a moral and spiritual setting where alliances, kinship, and dharma-oriented reflection are foregrounded.

The chapter-ending colophon frames the pilgrimage setting as a dharmic space: sacred travel (tīrthayātrā) is presented as a context for moral reflection, purification, and the reaffirmation of right conduct and relationships, even amid political tensions.
This is a concluding notice stating that the 118th chapter—about the Yādava–Pāṇḍava meeting within the Prabhāsa sacred region, narrated in the course of Lomasha’s pilgrimage account—has been completed.
