The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana

bāhū mahāntau kṛtvā tu tathāsyaṃ ca bhayānakam | sthitam āvṛtya panthānaṃ yena yānti kurūdvahāḥ ||

Having made his arms enormous and spreading his mouth into a terrifying gape, he stood there blocking the road—the very path along which the Pandavas, the foremost of the Kuru line, were traveling. The scene underscores how brute intimidation can obstruct the righteous, testing their resolve and discernment in the forest ordeal.
