Shloka 65

मैत्रेयागमनम् — The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana

अथ जर्जरसर्वाड्गं व्यावृत्तनयनोल्बणम्‌ | भूतले भ्रामयामास वाक्यं चेदमुवाच ह,किर्मीरका सारा अंग जर्जर हो गया और उसकी आँखें घूमने लगीं, इससे वह और भी भयंकर प्रतीत होता था। भीमने उसी अवस्थामें उसे पृथ्वीपर घुमाया और यह बात कही --

atha jarjarasarvāṅgaṃ vyāvṛttanayanolbaṇam | bhūtale bhrāmayāmāsa vākyaṃ cedam uvāca ha ||

Then, with all his limbs shattered and his eyes rolling wildly—making him appear even more terrifying—Bhīma whirled Kirmīra about upon the ground and spoke these words. The scene underscores the moral logic of the episode: violent arrogance and predation meet a fitting, immediate consequence at the hands of one who protects his own and restrains a menace to the innocent.
