इदं तृतीयं भ्रातृणामर्थ यत्‌ स्थातुमिच्छसि । विशुद्धोईसि महाभाग सुखी विगतकल्मष:,“अब यह तुम्हारी परीक्षाका तीसरा अवसर था; किंतु इस बार भी तुम अपने सुखकी परवा न करके भाइयोंके हितके लिये नरकमें रहना चाहते थे, अतः महाभाग! तुम इस तरहसे शुद्ध प्रमाणित हुए। तुममें पापका नाम भी नहीं है; अत: सुखी होओ

Transliteration

idaṁ tṛtīyaṁ bhrātṝṇām artha yat sthātum icchasi | viśuddho 'si mahābhāga sukhī vigata-kalmaṣaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “This is the third test concerning your brothers’ welfare. Since you wished to remain (even in hell) for the sake of your brothers, disregarding your own comfort, O greatly fortunate one, you have thereby been proven pure. You are free from all taint of sin; therefore, be at peace and enjoy happiness.”
