तथैव पाण्डवा: शूरा: समरे जितकाशिन:
tathaiva pāṇḍavāḥ śūrāḥ samare jitakāśinaḥ
Sañjaya said: “In the same manner, the heroic Pāṇḍavas too, in the thick of battle, proved themselves conquerors of those who sought to destroy them—standing firm in courage and resolve amid the moral trial of war.”
संजय उवाच
Even within the harsh arena of war, steadfast courage and disciplined action are portrayed as necessary qualities of kṣatriya-dharma; victory is framed as overcoming those who intend harm, not as mere aggression.
Sañjaya continues his battlefield report, stating that the Pāṇḍavas, like the opposing side previously described, fought heroically and emerged as victors over their assailants in the ongoing conflict.
