Vaiśampāyana said: “All of this will come to pass exactly as it truly is, O fair-faced one. O woman of good vows, I know you are performing a fierce austerity. O auspicious one, O lovely-faced one—whatever purpose led you to begin this observance, and whatever resolve you carry in your heart, all of it will be fulfilled in truth.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse affirms that sincere austerity (tapas) and a truthful inner resolve (saṅkalpa), undertaken with disciplined observance (anuṣṭhāna), bear fruit. It emphasizes moral causality: steadfast intention aligned with dharma is promised fulfillment.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports a reassurance addressed to a woman performing intense austerities. She is told that her purpose in beginning the observance and the resolve in her heart will be successfully realized, exactly as intended.
