वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores how, in times of great conflict, destructive forces symbolically ‘erupt’ into the world; outward splendor (ornaments and garlands) can accompany inner violence, warning that appearance is not a reliable marker of dharmic alignment.
The narrator describes a dramatic moment: from a blazing, eminent mountain, vast numbers of Daityas suddenly emerge, heightening the sense of ominous supernatural participation in the unfolding war events.
