एवं स वित्त प्रददौ महात्मा सरस्वतीतीर्थवरेषु भूरि । ययौ क्रमेणाप्रतिमप्र भाव- सतत: कुरुक्षेत्रमुदारवृत्ति:
evaṃ sa vittaṃ pradadau mahātmā sarasvatītīrthavareṣu bhūri | yayau krameṇāpratimaprabhāvaḥ satataḥ kurukṣetram udāravṛttiḥ ||
Thus that great-souled one bestowed abundant wealth at the most excellent sacred fords of the Sarasvatī. Then, proceeding step by step—of incomparable splendor and ever of noble conduct—he went on toward Kurukṣetra.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through dāna (generous giving) at sacred tīrthas and the ideal of maintaining noble character (udāravṛtti) while moving toward momentous duties.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that a great person distributes abundant wealth at the Sarasvatī’s foremost pilgrimage sites and then continues onward in stages toward Kurukṣetra.
