शल्यस्तु समरश्लाघी धर्मराजमरिंदमम्‌

Transliteration

śalyas tu samaraślāghī dharmarājam ariṃdamam

Translation

Sañjaya said: Śalya, proud of his prowess in battle, addressed Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira—the crusher of foes—within the charged moral atmosphere of war, where valor and righteousness are continually tested.
