गदया युद्धकुशलस्तया दारुणनादया

gadayā yuddhakuśalas tayā dāruṇanādayā

Sañjaya said: Skilled in combat with the mace, he advanced with that weapon whose dreadful roar proclaimed the ferocity of the encounter—an image of war’s brutal craft, where prowess and violence move together, often eclipsing gentler claims of dharma.
