प्रमुखे सहदेवस्य जघानाश्वान् स मद्रराट्
pramukhe sahadevasya jaghānāśvān sa madrarāṭ
Sañjaya said: In the very forefront of the battle, the king of Madra struck down Sahadeva’s horses—an act aimed not merely at killing, but at crippling a warrior’s mobility and command, revealing the ruthless tactical ethic of Kurukṣetra where disabling an opponent’s chariot could decide life and death in an instant.
