Kṛpa said: “One who, heeding the counsel of experienced elders, promptly sets about the task at hand, soon attains the proper and excellent fruit of that effort.”
कृप उवाच
Timely initiative guided by the advice of wise elders leads swiftly to successful results; right action is not only knowing what is good, but beginning it without delay under sound counsel.
In the Sauptika Parva’s tense aftermath of the war, Kṛpa offers a concise maxim of statecraft and conduct: act decisively and correctly, especially when guided by senior, experienced voices, and the desired outcome will come quickly.
