Sañjaya said: That mighty-armed Bhīma—renowned for his fearsome valor—was struck (in battle).

The verse underscores the Mahābhārata’s war-ethos: even the greatest heroes, celebrated with epithets of strength and fearsome prowess, are still subject to injury and reversal in battle—highlighting the harsh impartiality of warfare and the fragility beneath martial glory.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīma, famed for immense strength and terrifying valor, has been struck by an opponent during the ongoing combat in the Karṇa Parva.
