Chariot Duel and Astra-Exchange

तथा प्रयाते राजेन्द्र कर्णे नरवरोत्तमे । धनंजयमभिप्रेक्ष्य धर्मराजो5ब्रवीदिदम्‌,राजेन्द्र! मनुष्योंमें श्रेष्ठ कर्णके इस प्रकार यात्रा करनेपर धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरने अर्जुनकी ओर देखकर इस प्रकार कहा--

tathā prayāte rājendra karṇe naravarottame | dhanañjayam abhiprekṣya dharmarājo 'bravīd idam ||

O king, when Karṇa—the foremost of men—had set forth in that manner, Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, looking toward Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), spoke these words. The moment frames Yudhiṣṭhira’s dharmic concern as he turns to Arjuna in the midst of war, preparing to respond to Karṇa’s movement with counsel shaped by duty and right conduct.
