धृतराष्ट उवाच
Respect for elder counsel is presented as a stabilizing ethical force: when noble elders speak for a just purpose, their words carry moral authority and can restrain conflict.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra expresses confidence that if venerable elders of the Bharata line speak on someone’s behalf, the Pāṇḍavas will heed them—implying a hope that elder mediation can influence decisions amid the war context.
