Educational Q&A

Even amid warfare, speech is framed by propriety: Sañjaya seeks formal permission (anujñā) and offers an auspicious benediction (bhadraṁ vo 'stu). The verse highlights etiquette, restraint, and the ethical weight of intention when employing concealment.

Sañjaya announces that he will depart and become unseen, stating that the Pāṇḍavas will not be able to see him. It signals a tactical withdrawal into invisibility or concealment, presented with courteous leave-taking.
