Adhyāya 62: Sañjaya’s Admonition to Dhṛtarāṣṭra on Rāja-dharma and Consequence
tatastu dhārāṃ payaso ghṛtasya ca mahātmanaḥ | tatpaścāt mahāmanā māndhātāke mukhe meṃ indrasya hastena dugdha-ghṛtayoḥ dhārā vahāyī | sa bālaka indrasya hastaṃ pātum alagā aura eka hī dinameṃ bahut baṛh gayā |
Then, by the power of that great-souled one, a stream of milk and ghee flowed. After this, the noble Indra caused a current of milk and clarified butter to pour into Māndhātā’s mouth by his own hand. The child began to drink from Indra’s hand and, within a single day, grew remarkably. The episode underscores divine guardianship and the idea that rightful nurture and protection can swiftly restore strength and capacity when aligned with dharma.
