अभिमन्युवधः

Abhimanyu’s Fall and the Battlefield Aftermath

खड्गचर्म धर: श्रीमानुत्पपात विहायसा । धनुष कट जाने और रथ नष्ट हो जानेपर तेजस्वी वीर अभिमन्यु अपने धर्मका पालन करते हुए ढाल और तलवार हाथमें लेकर आकाशमें उछल पड़ा

khaḍgacarma-dharaḥ śrīmān utpapāta vihāyasā | dhanuṣaḥ kaṭa-jāne ca ratha-naṣṭe ca tejasvī vīro 'bhimanyuḥ sva-dharmam anutiṣṭhan carma-khaḍgau pāṇibhyāṃ gṛhītvā vihāyasam utpapāta |

Sañjaya said: When his bow had been cut and his chariot destroyed, the radiant hero Abhimanyu—steadfast in the observance of his own dharma—took up shield and sword and leapt upward into the sky, continuing the fight with unwavering resolve.
