ननाद बलवान् कर्ण: पार्थाय विसृजज्छरान् । परंतु बलवान् कर्णने सीधे जानेवाले तीन-तीन बाणसमूहोंद्वारा उन शक्तियोंके टुकड़े- टुकड़े करके अर्जुनपर बाणोंकी वर्षा करते हुए सिंहनाद किया
sañjaya uvāca | nanāda balavān karṇaḥ pārthāya visṛjya śarān |
Sañjaya said: Mighty Karṇa roared like a lion as he loosed his arrows at Pārtha (Arjuna). With great force, he shattered the oncoming weapons into fragments by means of straight-flying clusters of three arrows at a time, and then rained shafts upon Arjuna—proclaiming his prowess amid the fury of battle.
