Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 29 — Arjuna’s defeat of Vṛṣaka–Acalā and the neutralization of Śakuni’s māyā
परिवृत्तं किरीटं तद् यमयन्नेव पाण्डव: । सुदृष्ट: क्रियतां लोक इति राजानमब्रवीत्,उलटे हुए किरीटको ठीक करते हुए पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनने भगदत्तसे कहा--“राजन्! अब इस संसारको अच्छी तरह देख लो”
sañjaya uvāca |
parivṛttaṃ kirīṭaṃ tad yamayann eva pāṇḍavaḥ |
sudṛṣṭaḥ kriyatāṃ loka iti rājānam abravīt ||
Sañjaya said: As the son of Pāṇḍu (Arjuna) steadied and set right his crown that had been turned aside, he addressed King Bhagādattā: “O King, now look well upon this world.” The words carry the warrior’s grim ethical warning—on the battlefield, pride and aggression culminate in the final reckoning, and one must face the consequences of one’s chosen side and actions.
